I’m Tara, the No Hype Nutritionist.  I love food.  I love to help people love food.

Growing up my home was food restricted.  Sweets were allowed… occasionally but had to be made from scratch.  I used to love to spend the night with my cousin because her mom bought her chocolate cereal and they always had store bought cookies… the kind made by  elves…

My first time away from home I would often eat, okay binge, on these things.  I don’t remember suffering much guilt but it also didn’t feel quite right.

After completing a four year enlistment in the Air Force I decided to finish my degree. Four years as a medic made me realize I would not make a good nurse.  But I knew I wanted to help people. I settled on Nutrition.  Somewhere along the way I read Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole. It changed my life.  For years, instead of a New Year’s resolution I have read this book along with
Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl.

So I’ve been doing this for 15 years.  I’ve worked in a variety of settings… Big Medical Center, Community Hospital, Long Term Care, Dialysis, Outpatient — you get the picture.  I love helping people normalize their relationship with food.  About two years ago I had the opportunity to give up the big city and return to my small town roots.  I live on the edge of a Mesquite Forest in the middle of the short grass prairie with my human family plus 2 black cats, 6 chickens and a fluctuating number of guineas.

Small town life is awesome but it limits my clientele.  Though many of you would probably relish a retreat at the Ranch I’m not quite set up for that.  So an online sesh will have to do.  Cool thing about that?  We can sesh in our jammies at a time that’s convenient for both of us!

My sessions are $750 for 6 sessions.  Being the flexible nutritionist I am, we can schedule those at your convenience.  I have morning, afternoon, evening and weekend sessions.  We can schedule them biweekly, monthly or as your budget allows.

What you’ll get – personalized sessions that teach you how to normalize your eating and love your body.

What you won’t get — rules, meal plans, guilt, shame.  So if you’re looking for rigidity we might no be a good fit 🙂

Oh, by the way, that degree — along with an Internship and a Masters degree in Nutrition was completed and I have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for over 15 years.  So if you have any medical-nutritional concerns those can be addressed too.
